Site News :: Second Year of Behavioral Health Optimization Project In the Books
The end of September marked the completion of the second year of the US Air Force Behavioral Health Optimization Project (BHOP). Coordinated internally by Lt. Col. Tracy Neal-Walden Ph.D and Maj. Robert Vanecek Ph.D., the second year project involved Drs. Robinson and/or Strosahl providing intensive consultation and training to primary care and behavioral health providers at 20 US Air Force Medical Treatment Facilities in both Europe and the United States. Each week long training involved planning meetings with the base command structure, special workshops designed to introduce behavioral health and primary care providers to cutting edge approaches to integration and in vivo core competency training for behavioral health consultants assigned to primary care. Feedback on these site visits has been overwhelmingly positive, both from behavioral health consultants and their primary care colleagues.
